Polymarket's documentation fully blocks Iran, Syria, Cuba, North Korea and three regions of Ukraine (Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk) and makes trading close-only in 31 countries plus four Canadian provinces — including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Australia and Brazil. In 5 more (Ireland, Japan, Malta for sports, the Netherlands and South Korea) only the website is close-only. Checked September 23, 2026.

You can close positions you already hold but cannot open new ones from that location.
Its website and API check where each request comes from, and its terms of service forbid using a VPN to get around restrictions.
