How Polymarket Crypto Price Markets Work: “Above X on Date” and “What Price Will It Hit”

Explainer · live examples updated September 24, 2026, twice a day

Crypto price markets come in two main forms. “Above ___ on [date]” markets ask whether the price at a set moment is above each listed level — one yes/no market per level. “What price will it hit” markets ask whether the price reaches each level at any point during a period, upward or downward.

Because every level is its own market, the prices form a ladder: the chance of staying above a low level is high, above a high level low. Reading across the ladder gives the market's whole price forecast.
